It may be no secret that running a non-profit organization is a lot of work. Admittedly it is more work than I imagined at times. With our conference coming up, a strategic plan in the works, a board to lead, and the 2024 budget staring at me in the near future, it's easy to feel a sense of overwhelm. "How will we do it, God?"
Today as I was washing dishes I was telling God that I felt very overwhelmed, unprepared, and un-equipped to be doing this. Praise God for that. Truly! If I felt fully prepared and with all the right skills I may run this entire operation into the ground because it wouldn't be dependent upon the God who created the earth and called this mission to be. Still, feeling unprepared is scary and hard. "We haven't hit the numbers we wanted yet, we should fundraise more, how will we grow?" These questions raced in my mind and prayers until I heard God whisper "I called you to steward". Steward. Not run independently. Not grow by a certain percentage in the next 3 years. Not fundraise a million dollars. Steward. As this word has run through my mind today I googled what the Christian definition of stewardship was. "Stewardship, quite simply, is recognizing that everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God and being grateful and generous with those gifts." Ahh the sweet taste of humility. I'm reminded of my "potato dream" as I reflect on this. As I looked around the garden and said "I didn't do this", the woman replied "you planted the whole potato, God did the rest". He was telling me that while he would want my full commitment, I wasn't going to grow this "garden" alone. How quickly did I twist and complicate the very clear command God had given. The message was clear yet somehow I twisted the truth and tried to take back all the gardening work. I remembered the garden I saw in the dream and decided the full weight of getting to that view was on my shoulders. Thank God that isn't the case. Thank you, God. So here's the business plan for Unstoppable God Ministries: We're going to steward what we have and trust God with everything. We're stewarding the campers who are signed up for UGC right now. If we add more, praise God. If we don't, praise God. We're stewarding the finances we have and asking God to give us wisdom on how to use it. We're stewarding the relationships we create, families we connect with, leaders who serve among us. We are stewarding, but we will not be trying to take the master gardener position. There's no one more qualified than the man who already has it. We serve an all powerful, all knowing, all loving God... who is kind enough to let us be part of His work. So we will be in the business of stewarding and see where God takes us. Here's to chucking potatoes in the ground, watering what we have, and trusting the ultimate creator. -Krystian Unstoppable God Ministries Steward

God Created Everything
Before there was even a world, God existed! He created the earth, every animal, and us! God created the very first man and woman, Adam and Eve. Sin Entered The World God told Adam and Eve to not eat fruit from one tree in the garden. They did not obey God and chose to eat the fruit anyway. Because of this, sin entered the world. All of us have sinful hearts, and none of us are perfect. God Made A Plan Because God knows everything, he knew Adam and Eve would sin and we would not be perfect humans. He wants a relationship with us, so He made a plan to send Jesus to earth to forgive our sins. Jesus Changes Everything God's song Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph. Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross to take away our sins. Jesus knew that we would mess up in life, but chose to save us so we could spend eternity in heaven with God. Jesus Changes Us Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can live free from our sin!It doesn't mean we won't mess up, but it does mean we can shine Jesus' light and remember that God loves us anyways. While we are on earth, we can share this good news, pray to God, read our bible, and live differently than the world. Heaven For Eternity When we die or Jesus comes back to get us, we will get to spend forever with God and Jesus in heaven. There will be no pain, no sin, and no sadness. Our job on earth is to accept Jesus into our hearts, love God, tell other people, and get ready to spend forever with Him. Accept Jesus Into Your Heart
If you have never accepted Jesus into your heart, you can do that right now! You can talk to a counselor, family member, pastor, or friend and let them know that you want to have a relationship with Jesus. When you accept Jesus into your heart, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. This means God is with you all the time. I Believe, God! Accepting Jesus into your heart and becoming a Christian is a big deal! When you decide to follow Jesus, it means you believe God is the one true God, that Jesus died for our sins and is the only way to know God, and that you will live with Him forever in heaven. Tell the World! It's exciting when someone accepts Jesus into their heart and becomes a Christian! Share your exciting news with your friends and family so they can celebrate with you! One way you can show the world you are a Christian is through baptism. Getting baptized is a way we tell everyone that we believe in who God is and we are a new creation. If you want to get baptized, you can talk to your parents, pastor, or trusted adult. Love God and Others Because of how awesome God is, we can live brand new lives as Christians. God doesn't just want to spend forever in heaven with you, he wants to have a relationship with you right now. Try to make time every day to pray to God. You can talk to Him about everything. You can also read or listen to your bible, attend church, and spend time with other Christians. |
